Brand new window launch at Wellbeing Media Studio
The POP ART project, in partnership with Bedford Creative Arts, is excited to announce a new window space over at the brand new Wellbeing Media Studio HQ with Dr Audrey Tang. Located at 20-22 St. Mary’s Street, Bedford-based Romanian artist Greta Andreica has been chosen as the first artist to exhibit.
The Wellbeing Media Studio is foundered by Chartered Psychologist Dr Audrey Tang, who is an award-winning business author, podcaster and community radio host.
Launching this evening, Thursday 23 November, the studio on St. Mary’s Street is designed as a safe space for the community to create, from livestreaming a webinar to creating content for socials. The space is shared with Bedford Radio who previously hosted events at our pop-up POP BEDFORD over the summer.
Artist Greta Andreica was born in Dobrin, Romania and studied fine-arts in Bucharest. Starting as an illustrator in the cinematographic industry, it was only later in life from 65 that Greta fearlessly embarked on a new artistic journey, discovering innovative ways to express herself through her art. Now living in Bedford, Greta’s work is bold and captivating, delving in to themes of freedom, protest, honesty and truth, urging viewers to reflect on their own beliefs and embrace their individual voices.
We are grateful to Audrey who has generously given over her window space to help support local artists via the POP ART project for free. Visit the window exhibit over the next couple of months where it will be in place until at least the end of January 2024. Wellbeing Media Studio, 20-22 St. Mary’s Street, Bedford, MK42 0AS.
If you’re a local, Bedford artist that would love to have their work in a window space in Bedford town centre, you can apply online here.
